Nothing on this page happens until you connect LinkedIn.

In short

  • RayAI | CJ never sends, reacts, comments or posts on LinkedIn: it only reads.
  • RayAI | CJ reads only what it needs, and you can see what it reads in Connectors → LinkedIn.
  • RayAI | CJ never sends connection requests or InMail, and never stores your connections' connections: it shows how many mutual connections you share with someone, and LinkedIn itself shows who they are.

How RayAI | CJ connects

We use Unipile SAS, a company in France, to connect your account. You sign in yourself on a secure page. We never receive your LinkedIn password. While you are connected, Unipile keeps your sign-in session and a copy of your LinkedIn messages, stored in France. Connect only your own LinkedIn account.

What RayAI | CJ reads

  • Your list of 1st-degree connections.
  • The About and experience sections of a person you open.
  • The About and experience sections of a likely fit whose current employer is unknown, a few at a time in the background during working hours, within the daily limit.
  • The public LinkedIn page of a company your connections work at (industry, size, headquarters).
  • LinkedIn company search results, only when you press Find companies like my ICP (or ask CJ to): companies that match your ICP’s industries, places and size, 10 at a time, with company fields only (name, LinkedIn page, industry, location); never people. A company’s LinkedIn page is read only when you press Enrich on it, and then RayAI | CJ searches for 2nd and 3rd-degree people who match your ICP at that company only.
  • People search results for your ICPs’ roles and places: 2nd and 3rd-degree people only (name, headline, location, how many mutual connections, profile link), a page of 10 at a time, only when you press Find more people (or ask CJ to), within the daily limit. RayAI | CJ never messages them or sends them connection requests.
  • When you open an account in Account Intelligence (its page, its People tab or Who matters), or ask CJ who to talk to there: one people search at that company for 2nd and 3rd-degree people who match your ICP’s roles and places (name, headline, location, how many mutual connections, profile link), one page of 10, at most once per account every 14 days unless you press Search again, within your daily people searches. RayAI | CJ keeps up to 10 of them for that account.
  • For Account Intelligence, a people search for each person your accounts name (their name and company, 2nd and 3rd degree only), up to 50 a day in the background during working hours, to show intro paths: RayAI | CJ keeps only their degree, how many mutual connections you share and their LinkedIn member id, never the other results. "See who ↗" opens LinkedIn's own list of those mutual connections, in your browser.
  • Your connections export, only if you upload it: each matched connection’s company and position (emails discarded).
  • Public LinkedIn posts about an event you choose.
  • Posts from the last 14 days, for your Smart Feed, by the people in your Account Intelligence, the people you ★ Shortlist, your ICP matches and your 1st-degree connections: up to 50 people a day in the background, and up to 100 a day in all when you press Refresh.

What RayAI | CJ writes to LinkedIn

Nothing. RayAI | CJ never sends messages, reacts, comments or posts, and has no permission or switch to turn any of that on. Drafts are text: copy one and send it from LinkedIn yourself.

What RayAI | CJ never does

  • Sends messages, reactions or comments, or publishes posts on LinkedIn.
  • Sends connection requests or InMail.
  • Stores your connections' connections, or makes introductions on your behalf.
  • Keeps messages from people you are not talking to in RayAI | CJ.
  • Uses LinkedIn Recruiter or Sales Navigator.
  • Sells your data or the data of people in your network.

Limits that protect your account

To protect your account, RayAI | CJ limits what it reads. Each day: about 100 profile reads, up to 20 people searches (for your ICPs and when you open an account; 50 pages of 10 people in all), up to 50 intro-path checks for people in your accounts, the recent posts of up to 50 people for your Smart Feed (up to 100 a day when you press Refresh), 20 post searches about events, 50 pages of company search results (10 companies a page) and, after the first full read of your network, about 3,000 connections. Company pages: about 90 reads in any 24 hours; work in the background uses at most 70 of them, so 20 are always left for what you press. We may lower these limits to keep your account safe. If you do not sign in for 5 days, RayAI | CJ pauses reading LinkedIn for your Smart Feed until you return.

How long LinkedIn data is kept

  • Message and draft text: up to 180 days.
  • People you never act on: removed after 30 to 90 days.
  • Smart Feed posts: shown for up to 14 days.
  • When you disconnect, RayAI | CJ stops all LinkedIn activity at once and asks Unipile to delete its copy of your data within 30 days.

LinkedIn's rules

  • LinkedIn's User Agreement restricts the use of third-party software and automated tools with LinkedIn accounts. LinkedIn does not endorse or support RayAI | CJ.
  • Connecting may lead LinkedIn to warn you, or to limit, restrict or close your account. We reduce this risk with daily limits and pacing, and by never writing to LinkedIn. We cannot remove it. You decide whether to connect.
